Drilling and blasting is one of the main techniques used in the mining industries to extract rock. We as OSC Holdings (Pty) Ltd supply quality products and equipments that are within the Explosive Regulations according to the MHSC (Mining Health And Safety Council).

Types of explosives that we supply and not limited to:

1. Mechanical Explosives

These rely on physical reactions, such as the rapid increase of gases due to pressure transformations.

2. Nuclear Explosives

These acquire their explosive power from nuclear reactions, such as fusion, rather than chemical reactions.

3. High Chemical Explosives

These are materials that detonate at extremely high speeds through a supersonic shock wave, producing a powerful and instantaneous blast effect.

4. Low Chemical Explosives

These are materials that burn rapidly (deflagrate) rather than detonate, producing a slower release of energy primarily used for propulsion or controlled blasting.
